Movie of the construction of our Blue-Green roof system in seconds!
The Blue-Green roof system used to create Project Smartroof 2.0 consists of several layers. Protective geotextile, a waterproof membrane, the Permavoid drainage and irrigation units, capillary geotextile, soil and plants. For research purposes 3 raised beds have been created and for safe visitability a specific HERAS fencing system has been put in place around the viewing deck. To see the time-lapse please click HERE
